| On Saturday, June 15, 2013, Skate for Hope held their 10th Anniversary event at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. Since 2005 the event has attracted a span of young amateur skaters to the world's best, all coming together to raise money for breast-cancer research. Annually this event raises over $70,000 for research including the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research at the OSUCCC -- James. Alexe Gilles, a US Junior National Champion, performed for her third year at SFH. "Research has come a long way, saving thousands of lives—doing this show reassures that you're doing the right thing for everyone," she said. |
